Our Team

Induce Biologics has an experienced and accomplished team of senior management and board of directors that work together, combining their expertise to guide the progress of the company.




Sean Peel, PhD
CSO and Co-founder
Sean has been working on the development of bone regeneration products for over 15 years at various companies including GenSci (now part of Integra), and along with Cameron Clokie, is the co-founder of Induce and co-inventor of URIST™.






Nancy Coulson, MBA
VP, Regulatory, Quality, & Clinical Affairs
Nancy has 22 years of regulatory experience including oversight of orthopaedic, spine and dental products. Most recently she was the World Wide Director, Regulatory Affairs, for J&J Cordis where she oversaw the regulatory program for pre- and post-market medical devices and combination drug/device products.






Jim Cooke, CPA, CA 
Jim is an experienced financial executive who has worked for more than 30 years with small and large companies, both private and publicly traded, and in a variety of industries, in all phases of the corporate growth cycle, and including biotech and medical device companies.

Neil Belmore, LL.B
Neil, the Managing Director of Belmore Capital, brings more than 25 years of experience in defending pharma/biotechnology patents for brand name pharma companies such as Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, Hoffmann La Roche and Pfizer; and currently invests in pharma and biomed companies in Silicon Valley and Toronto.  Neil holds an LL.B from Osgoode Hall Law School.





Jim DeMesa, MD MBA
Executive Director
Jim has over 25 years in the biotechnology industry, having served as a senior executive with several international pharmaceutical and biotech companies in the areas of corporate management, regulatory affairs, pre-clinical and clinical pharmaceutical and medical device product development.  He has overseen the development, regulatory approval, and commercialization of several medical products (including medical devices), some of which are currently on the market for bone regeneration.





Rob McEwen is the Chairman and Chief Owner of McEwen Mining Inc.  Along with his wife he established the McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine. Rob holds an Honorary Doctor of Laws, an MBA from York University, and a BA from the University of Western Ontario. He also received the 2001, PDAC, Developer of the Year Award.






Nicholas Green, the CEO of Therapure Biopharma Inc., brings more than 25 years of experience in pharma/biotechnology manufacturing. Nick has held a number of senior management roles, most notably Managing Director of Nipa Laboratories Ltd., Head of the Life Science Division of Clariant International Ltd. in the USA, President and CEO of Rhodia Pharma Solutions Ltd. and President of Codexis, Inc.’s Pharma Division. Nick holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from Queen Mary College in London, and an MBA from the University of Huddersfield.
